Kris Foucault
Hitman winger Kris Foucault – not yet drafted – had scored exactly zero goals in forty career games in the WHL. Drafted by Swift Current, Foucault suited up in just three games with the Broncos – all in which he was held off the scoresheet – that first season before being moved to the Kootney Ice for the 2007-08 season.
Unable to get anything going offensively Foucault managed just 3 points (all assists) in 37 games with the Ice over the next season and a half, spliting his time between Major Junior and Jr. A hockey.
Then game the trade to the Calgary Hitmen where he suited up in all 22 games he was healthy for registering accumulating these numbers, 9G-7A-16G.
And Foucault has 5 goals in his first 6 playoff games!!
Meanwhile the Kootney Ice team that couldn’t find away to get this kid going has finished with 110 less goals than the Calgary Hitmen this season. Hmmm…
AND the Ice got swept in the first round while the Hitmen did the sweeping in their series. HMMMM lol
They should have the Anti-General Manager of the year award, call it the Millbury. It can have jet black hair on the top….Unlike the Cup nobody will be drinking out of it.
