April 25, 1993 – The Calgary Flames squander a 2-1 opening round playoff series lead against the Los Angeles Kings with a disappointing 3-1 loss. Calgary would win no more games in 1993 as the Wayne Gretzky led Kings would score nine times in each of the next two games (9-4,9-6) to ice the Flames postseason aspirations.
Incidentally that was the third time in the series one team scored nine goals in a game, Calgary scored nine times in game two beating the kings 9-4.
